Verna Dean Pigg, 87, of Florence, died at ECM Hospital Saturday Nov. 9, 2013. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Stan Dean and Brad Adcock officiating. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Pigg was born in Cloverdale, Ala., to the late Charles Edgar and Lizzie Emma Weaver Davis. She was a member of Stony Point Church of Christ.
Preceding her in death were her great-grandsons, baby boy Harville and Braxton Harville; sisters, Edith Springer and Ruth Holt; brothers, Buford Davis and Edsel Davis.
She is survived by her husband, Grady Pigg, Florence; daughter, Sharon Harville (Michael), Florence; son, Terry Pigg (Catherine), Fort. Payne, Ala.; grandchildren, Neil Harville (Brandy), Courtney Patterson (Brad), Ashley Pigg, Austin Pigg and Aubrey Pigg; great-grandchildren, Bailey, Cidney, Anna, Calleigh, and Chesney; and a number of nieces and nephews.
