Helen P. Sanders, 80, of Decatur, died Friday, September 6, 2013. She was born September 18, 1932, to Annie Pearl Jackson and Charlie Pettey. She was preceded in death by her parents; eldest daughter, Mary G. Brown; two sons, Dwight Sanders and Garland Sanders.
The Homegoing celebration will be Monday, September 9, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Bell Primitive Baptist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Sterrs Cemetery with Reynolds Funeral Home directing.
She is survived by her loving children, Loretta S. Allen, Mark Shabazz, Alex Sanders, Jacqueline Sanders, Barbara Birdsong; a host of brothers; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews and friends.
The family wishes to thank her guardian angel, Ann Robinson; the staff of Decatur Health and Rehab and Southern Care Hospice.
