Hunter Clayton Faidley Jr., 74, of Florence, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, at U.A.B. Hospital. He was a member of St. John United Methodist Church, served as head usher and member of Trustees and SPPRC. He was retired after 41 years as Office Manager with Pepsi Cola Bottling Company of Central Virginia, Weyers Cave, Va.

Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 23, from 1-3 p.m. at St. John United Methodist Church with a memorial service following at 3 p.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Greg Burnett.

Mr. Faidley was preceded in death by his father, Hunter C. Faidley; mother, Hattie Faidley Jordan; stepfather, Emory Jordon.

He is survived by his wife, Julia Winborne Faidley; brother, Stephen King Faidley and wife, Tanya, of Staunton, Va.; sister, Denna W. Jackson and husband, Bill, of Russellville; nephew, Clayton R. Faidley, of Monroe, La.; nieces, Lauren E. Faidley (Dr. Mike Sano), of Durham, N.C., Amy J. Bragwell (Brian); greatniece, Emma Claire Bragwell, all of Russellville.

Honorary pallbearers are Bill Jackson, Brian Bragwell, Buddy Broadfoot, Danny Griffin, Ray McDaniel, Hartis Hanback and Ricky Haraway.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John United Methodist Church’s Memory Garden.
