Fannie (Fran) Richards, of Florence, was born on Dec. 24, 1932, and went to be with the Lord on Aug. 19, 2013, at the age of 80. She was born and raised in South Bend, Ind. and moved to Florence in the early 50s. She was a member of Central Baptist Church and a retired employee of Brown’s Ferry where she worked in operations and document control. She enjoyed her Sunday School class and Joy Club luncheons at church, watching the Atlanta Braves, playing cards, making jelly and baking Christmas cookies and delivering them to family and friends. Her humor and love for all of us will be missed.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Aug. 21, from 11:30-1 p.m. at Central Baptist Church with the funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Bill Harper. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Richards was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Richards; infant son, Ricky Richards; grandson-in-law, Drew Brand; parents, Ezra and Mildred Dean; brother, Jay Dean; sister, Nancie Stallter.

She is survived by daughter, Vickie Gasque and husband, Benny, of Leighton;
