Jacquelin Hammond Gibson – Obituary

Longtime Decatur resident, Jacquelin Hammond Gibson, died August 8, 2013, at age 90 at Parkway Medical Center. Mrs. Gibson and her husband, George, came to Decatur in 1975 and lived on Burningtree Mountain for 32 years. She was preceded in death by her husband and her brother, Benjamin F. Hammond Jr. of Middletown, Pa.

She is survived by her son, George E. Gibson Jr. and his wife, Sharon; granddaughter, Sarah Ruhe and great-grandsons, Aidan and Brody Ruhe, all of Albuquerque, N.M.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to the animal rescue organization of your choice. The family also thanks the numerous neighbors and friends who were so helpful to Jackie over the years and especially during the past three months. You will be remembered.
