CharlesWMr. Charles William Willingham was born May 4, 1939, in Mt. Hope, Ala., to the late Ollie M. McCord and Leonard Willingham.
He departed this life Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, at Helen Keller Hospital.
He leaves to cherish his memories a daughter, Sabrina Willingham Turner, Muscle Shoals, Ala.; one son, Roderick Byrd (Vicki), Denton, Texas; their mother, Sadie Byrd Willingham; three brothers, Donald Willingham, Russellville, Ala., Carl Beecher (Lorraine), Muscle Shoals, Ala., and Cecil Willingham, Dayton, Ohio; seven sisters, Margie Phillips, Dayton, Ohio, Brenda Harvey (John), Russellville, Ala., Nancy Thompson, Dayton, Ohio, Mae Hamilton (David), Russellville, Ala., Teresa White, Cincinnati, Ohio, Claritha Willingham, Toledo, Ohio, Dion Willingham, Cincinnati; one aunt, Polly Burgess, Moulton, Ala.; several nieces, nephews, other relative and many devoted friends.
Funeral service will be at noon Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013, at First Baptist Church, Tuscumbia, Ala., with the Rev. Otis B. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Shoals Memorial Gardens, Tuscumbia, Ala.
The body will be placed in the church at 11 a.m.
Public viewing will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday.
Thompson and Son Funeral Home, Tuscumbia, is directing.
