Troy Mae Carter passed from this Earth on July 25, 2013, at 5:12 am at the Limestone Health Facility to be with her Heavenly Father. Mrs. Carter was born to James Russell and Lillie Mae Nixon Crouch on March 10, 1932, in Limestone County. Mrs. Carter was joined on her final journey by her Beloved Husband, Charles Carter.
The visitation will be from 6-9 pm on Sunday, July 28 to follow with a funeral at 2:00 pm on Monday, July 29, at Limestone Chapel. Burial will be at Sunny Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Carter is survived by her daughter, Jill Holland and husband Wayne of Athens; grandchildren, Sandi Roberts and husband Chris Smith, Amy Chittam, Lyle Holland and wife, Linda and John Holland and wife Christy; and great-grandchildren, Carly Roberts, Logan Roberts, Hannah Holland, Maggie Holland, Jack Holland and Bennett Holland. One sister, Minnie Carter of Athens and one brother, Frank Crouch and wife Linda of Pulaski, TN. Numerous Beloved Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jesse James (Jake) Crouch.
She was a longtime member of Sunny Hill Church of Christ. She retired from Limestone County School Systems.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Crouch, Michael Crouch, Steve Carter, Redus Moran, Tim Crouch and Jeff Crouch, all Beloved Nephews of the deceased. Honorary Pallbearer is Logan Roberts, Great-Grandson to his Beloved GaGa. Kasey Harbin and Henry Carter will Conduct the Services for Mr. Carter.
