Funeral services will be held at 2:00, Wednesday, November 11, 2026 at Crestwood Funeral Home in Gadsden, Alabama, for Roger Musick, age 81, Gadsden, AL, who died November 4, 2026. Dr. Craig Carlisle will officiate. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Roger Kyle Musick passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. He was born in Gadsden, Alabama on October 10,1945 to James Kyle Musick and Iris Phillips Musick. He graduated from Gadsden High School in 1964 and attended Auburn University. He joined the Air Force National Guard where he began his training as an electrician. Following his service, he joined the apprentice program at Goodyear where he was employed for many years until his retirement. Upon his retirement from Goodyear, he continued to work as an electrician at SDM Electric. For many years he was a volunteer fireman for the Whorton Bend Volunteer Fire Department.
Roger was a lover of cars, owning many Corvettes throughout the years. He was a long standing and dedicated member of 12th Street Baptist Church, where he served on many committees. He was also a member of the Gadsden Sportsman’s Club volunteering his time with numerous events that raised money for college scholarships.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Iris Musick and brother, Bruce Musick. He is survived by his sister-in-law Sarah Musick, niece Anna Musick Tow (Patrick), nephew Mark Musick (Catie), great-niece Maddie Tow, and numerous cousins.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Joseph Musick, Barry Musick, Lynn Page, Ronnie Holaway, Wayne Eads, David Dean, David Parsons and Tom Pitts.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Mountain Cove Assisted Living and Ronnie Holaway. In lieu of flowers, please honor Roger by volunteering your time to help those in need.
Visitation will be held November 11, 2026 from 12:00-2:00pm at Crestwood Funeral Home with service to follow at 2:00.
