With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Cathy Lucia Carroll, 67 of Huntsville, AL on November 4, 2026. Cathy was born to William Hoch and Bertha Hale Hoch in Spangler, Pennsylvania. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, caregiver, and friend whose life was marked by unwavering love, deep faith, and a servant’s heart.
For more than twenty years, she dedicated her life to healthcare, caring for others with compassion, kindness, and grace. Her calling to care for people extended far beyond her profession. Whether tending to patients, caring for her mother, or pouring herself into the lives of her children and grandchildren, she always placed the needs of others before her own.
At the center of her life was her beloved husband, Roger. Their love was a source of strength, laughter, companionship, and countless cherished memories. She loved him deeply and treasured the life they built together. Through life’s joys and challenges, they stood side by side, and the bond they shared remained one of the greatest blessings of her life.
She was most proud of her family. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest joy, and she delighted in spending time with them, supporting them, and celebrating their lives. The love she poured into her family created a legacy that will continue for generations.
She was a bright ray of sunshine whose kindness and welcoming spirit touched everyone she met. She loved music, dancing and outdoor concerts, collecting shells along the beach, watching beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and taking long walks. She especially loved the fall season, sunflowers, pumpkin-flavored treats, and any opportunity for fun and adventure. She enjoyed sharing stories with family and friends and finding joy in life’s simple moments. Her laughter, caring nature, and generous heart left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Above all, her faith was the foundation of her life. It guided her through challenges, strengthened her in difficult times, and shaped the way she loved and cared for others. Her unwavering faith leaves a legacy for her family and all who knew her. Our hearts are broken because we will miss her smile, her laughter, her wisdom, and the love she gave so freely. Yet because of our faith in Jesus Christ, we do not mourn without hope. We find peace in knowing that she has heard the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant,” and has been welcomed home by her Lord and Savior. We look forward to the day when we will see her again, reunited in the presence of Christ. Until then, we will carry her memory in our hearts and strive to live out the faith she cherished so deeply
