In Loving Memory of Jerry Doyle Kimbrough

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”

2 Timothy 4:7 (KJV)

Jerry Doyle Kimbrough, a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away on October 26, 2026 surrounded by his loving wife and daughters.

Born on March 12, 1949, Jerry was the son of Johnnie Doyle Kimbrough and Lillie Pearl Allen Kimbrough. He was a loving brother to Archie Kimbrough and Tommy Kimbrough.

Jerry was the beloved husband of Nancy Teresa Thorn Kimbrough and the proud father of Krista Corwin (James), Dana Ewen (Les), Bridgett Plunket, and Geri Broussard.

One of Jerry’s greatest joys in life was his family, especially his ten grandchildren. He cherished his role as a grandfather and great-grandfather, and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought immeasurable joy to his heart.

His grandchildren were Jeremy Munson (Colette), William Corwin (Heather), Mary Ruth Petz (Joseph), Hodge Plunket, Beau Broussard, Madelyn Broussard, Henry Broussard, Andy Ewen (Kristin), and Eric Ewen (Devin). He was preceded in death by his grandson, Bryan Austin Plunket, and son-in-law, Bryan Plunket. He was also blessed with three great-grandchildren: Adalynn Munson, Kyle Ewen, Vivienne Petz and Aiden Courteaux.

To say that Jerry will be missed is an understatement. He set an example of how to live while loving Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

Though his earthly journey has ended, the memories of his life, the love he shared, and the legacy he leaves behind will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain.”

Revelation 21:4 (KJV)

Visitation will be held on Saturday November 7th, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel in Tuscumbia, AL. A memorial service celebrating Jerry’s life will follow at 11:30 a.m.
