James Thomas Ramsey, age 70, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Southern TN Regional Health System in Lawrenceburg, TN. He was a native of Lawrenceburg, TN and owned a lawn care business. He enjoyed working, fishing, and watching Andy Griffith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Cecil and Margaret Carlee Robertson Ramsey; four sisters, Annie Florence Medley; Virginia Carlee Clark; Dorothy Louise Belew, and Gladys Lorene Tripp; two brothers, James Leroy Ramey and Willie Lawrence Ramsey; and one grandson, Bradley Murphy.
He is survived by three sons, Terry Ramsey (Spring) of Nauvoo, AL, Gary Ramsey (Crystal) of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Chris Ramsey (Caroline) of Saint Joseph, TN; two daughters, Kim Benefield (Rodney) of Saint Joseph, TN and Stacey Taylor (Justin) of Loretto, TN; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Watkins of Loretto, TN and Geneva Martin of Lawrenceburg, TN; several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Neal Funeral Home. A memorial service will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Saturday, November 7, 2026.
