A graduate of Amory High School, Virginia went on to serve as a head bank teller with NBC for 44 years. Through the decades, she became a familiar and trusted presence, offering kindness and care in both her work and daily life. She was known as a true Southern Belle—generous, caring, and someone who loved everyone. She especially enjoyed visiting with friends and neighbors, and those simple moments of connection were among the many ways she shared warmth with the people around her.
Among the blessings of her life, Virginia counted most dearly being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was also proud to be a Charter member of St Andrews, a distinction that reflected her lasting place in the life of her church community.
Virginia shared 60 years of marriage with her husband, Doyle Harris, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her father, Floyd Wiygul; her mother, Blanch LindseyWiygul; and her brother, Bob Wiygul.
She leaves behind a loving family who will continue to cherish her memory.
