Kalani Angie-Lina Odem, born February 1, 2026, left this world to be with Jesus, on October 28, 2026. She is the daughter of Samuel Bart Odem and Kelly Lynn Shaw. Kalani was a native of Saint Joseph, TN. During her short time on Earth, she enjoyed dancing to music, watching Cocomelon, playing patty-cake with her sisters, and so much more. Kalani’s smile was vibrant and would light up the room. She was loved by all who met her and will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her PaPa Steve (Steven Frank Steele) of Iron City, TN; her uncle Ricky Joe Odem, and her great aunt Josephine Wilsford of St. Joseph. She is survived by her parents and her five sisters Nevaeh Townsend, Diamond Townsend, Marley Odem, Mendy Shaw, and Raven Odem of St. Joseph; grandparents Angie Taylor and Brandon Wix of Summertown, TN & Candy and Trenton Simbeck of Iron City, Joey Odem of St. Joseph and William Thomas Sherrill of St. Joseph; great-grandparents Jerry and Rita Shaw of Hohenwald, TN and Cherry Dean of St. Joseph; aunts Brandy Barrier of Summerton, Kayla Simbeck of Loretto, TN, Hannah Thompson of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Amber Sherrill of Waynesboro, TN ; uncles Steven Steele of Iron City, Bryan Shaw of St. Joseph, Josh Simbeck of Loretto, Eric Jones of Iron City, Scotty Jones, and Bubbie Sherrill of Waynesboro; and many cousins. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 4, 2026, from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Thursday at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Bobby Hodges as the officiating Pastor. She will be buried at Odem’s Chapel Cemetery.
