Melba Ann Talley, 88, of Cullman, Alabama, passed away on October 30, 2026. Born August 8, 1938, in Cullman, Alabama, Melba was loved and cherished by those who knew her.A lifelong resident of Cullman, Melba attended Cullman High School and later worked at Cullman Products, where she took genuine pride in her work.
Melba was married to Grady J. Talley, and together they enjoyed time spent camping and watching Alabama football. She was also a big Alan Jackson fan, and she especially loved spending time with her family—moments that mattered most to her and that she held close.
Melba is preceded in death by her father and mother, Joe and Nancy “Bessie” Mauter; husband, Grady J. Talley; and sister, Ramona York.
She is survived by her niece, Lisa Harkness (Bobby); great nieces, Delisa Lee (Gerry), and Jordan Harkness; great-great nephews, Zane Hendrix and John David Hendrix; and a host of loving extended family.
A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held at Moss-Service Funeral Home, 1901 2nd Avenue, N.W., Cullman, Alabama 35055, on November 2, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
A Graveside Committal Service will follow at Cullman City Cemetery.
