Esther Imogene Byrd passed away October 16, 2026, at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, TN. She was born in Pulaski, TN on March 10, 1950, and was 76 years old.
Esther was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She was a devoted Christian who lived her life with faith in her heart. Esther also had a passion for music and enjoyed going to concerts any chance she had. She also enjoyed learning how to use insta cart and door dash with her grandchildren. Above all, Esther loved to spend time with her family and until the day they meet again, their memory will remain a beautiful reminder of a life filled with faith, family, music, and love.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, October 20th, 2026 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.
The funeral service will follow at 2:00pm on Tuesday, October 20th, 2026 in the chapel of Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.
The burial will be in Chestnut Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory to assist with funeral expenses.
Esther was preceded in death by, her husband, Lindsey Lee Byrd, and brothers, Joe Carroll Norwood and Paul Norwood.

Son, Eric Lindsey (Kristy) Byrd of Mt. Pleasant, TN
Grandchildren, Christian Tyler Patterson, Ryan Alexander Patterson, Deianera Celine Patterson, Tyler David Henry, Alexandra Renae Henry, Colin Levi Henry, Jonah Michael Byrd, Dakota Lindsey Byrd, Shelby Lashae Casey, Alexander Lee Rose, Tyler Jordan Rose, Hunter Daniel Rose, and Charolette Elizabeth Byrd.
Brother, Robert Norwood of Illinois
Several step brothers and sisters, along with nieces and nephews also survive.
