Albert “John” Sandor, Jr., 73, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at his residence. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, October 16, 2026, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home for a private family viewing followed by a public graveside service at 10 a.m. at Valley View Memorial Garden Cemetery.
Mr. Sandor was born on September 4, 1953, in Decatur, AL. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, pilot, mechanic and retired from owning his own business. He had a passion for aviation, riding motorcycles, nicknames, and rebuilding cars, boats and planes.
He was preceded in death by his parents Albert John Sandor, Sr. and Billie R. Sandor of Hartselle, AL.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Sandor; and his four children, Angela Atkins (husband Steve), Jonathan Tobias Johnson (wife Billie), Albert John Sandor, III, and Rachel Moudy (husband Jason).
He leaves behind eight grandchildren, Xzavier Davis (wife Alyson), Grace Atkins, William Johnson, Taylor Johnson, Joe Atkins, Payton and Dylan Moudy, and Takoda Johnson; as well as his great-grandson, Baux Davis. He is also survived by his brothers, Paul, Pat, Mike, and David Sandor; and his sister, Susan Sandor.
