Judith Ann Ray Mostella passed away peacefully October 10, 2026 at Anniston Health and Rehab.
She was 89 years old and lived an amazing life. Judy was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Gerald Mostella, her mother Esther Lewis Nettles, her father Doyle Ray, her brother James C. Ray, her grandparents, L.O. and Grace Cunningham Alexander, and her granddaughter, Grace Ellen Holmes.
She is survived by her sister, Esther Johnson (John Allen), daughters Yvonne Earl, and Debra Holmes; her sons, Phillip Rodrigue, James Rodrigue (Liz), David Gilmore (Michelle), and Alex Gilmore (Kelly); grandchildren Anna Earl Romero, Kirstie Pritchett (Kyle), Destry Gilmore (Amanda), Noah Holmes (Taylor), and Kelsie Gilmore, and 6 great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends from Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2026, from 1:00-2:00pm at United Fellowship Baptist Church in Alexandria with graveside service immediately following at 2:00 with Milton Harris officiating.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Rodrigue, James Rodrigue, David Gilmore, Alex Gilmore, Destry Gilmore, and Noah Holmes.
Judy’s love for fishing and cooking was only surpassed by her love for her family. Her sense of humor and kind spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew her and loved her.
