“Joseph Richard “JR” Kielczewski, the son of Alex and Alyssa Kielczewski, was born asleep at 36 1/2 weeks at 8:25pm on October 3rd, 2026. He weighed 6 lbs exactly, and measured in at 19 1/2 inches. He was lovingly named after both of his incredible grandfathers, Joseph Szymkowicz and Richard Kielczewski. JR never felt any pain, and only ever knew the warmth and comfort of his parents love.
JR is deeply loved, and deeply missed. His family are very grateful for the outpouring of support from friends, family, and the communities from which Alyssa and Alex have made their lives; including Coventry Rhode Island, Dallas Texas, and Huntsville Alabama. The family also thanks the caring staff at Crestwood Maternity, and their dedicated OBGYN who ensured the parents and JR’s comfort every step of the way.
They are also receiving support from the Wells Clayton Whitworth Memorial Foundation, a North Alabama nonprofit that helps families after the loss of an infant.
