In Loving Memory of Donna Lee Wunner

On Thursday, October 08, 2026, the world lost a gentle soul, and heaven gained a shining light. Donna lived her life with grace, generosity, and an open heart. She found joy in simple moments – sharing stories, playing Monopoly Go with friends and family, and caring for those she loved. Her legacy is one of love, resilience, and warmth. She will be deeply missed by family members and all those whose lives she touched.
She leaves behind her two children, Jacob Payne (Chassidy) and Megan Horton (John); four siblings, Sue Slaughter, Detra Anderson (Tim), Beau Newberry (Alana) and Clarence Writtenberry (Angela); two sisters, Dlinda Harvey and Elizabeth Higgins; stepfather, Robert Crump; seven grandchildren Shawn, Destin, John, Jake, Braeden, Cayden and Larson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Parlor; mother, Margie Crump; father, Leonard Newberry; and twin Newberry brothers.
A private family service will be held at a later date in Florida. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL assisted the family.
