After graduating from the University of Alabama, she worked as a computer programmer for IBM in Huntsville, AL on the Saturn V Project where she met her husband, Thomas Dunn. Lenore went on to work on various projects such as the space shuttle and international space station. Together with Tom, they operated a consulting business, ComsultInc., and owned several rental properties.

Lenore and Tom married on October 30, 1965, and had four children. They set an incredible example of a loving marriage for their family and instilled important values of commitment, ethics, generosity and hard work in their children and grandchildren.

She was a member of the Huntsville Beautification Committee, the American Association of University Women (AAUW), Daughters of the American Revolution, and a local gardening club. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, reading about history, boating on the Tennessee River, refinishing antiques, painting, and spending time with family.

Lenore was a lively and strongpersonality who lit up a room with her smile and found joy in everyday things. She had an eye for design that shined in her gardening, home decorating and remodeling. Lenore always enjoyed engaging in conversations about history and current events. She was also an excellent cook who didn’t need recipes; she cooked with her heart. Her legendary cinnamon rolls will be loved and baked by her family for generations.

Lenore is survived by her four children, Patty (Joe) Demos of Huntsville, AL, Greg (Traci) Dunn of Huntsville, AL, Angie Dunn of Broomfield, CO, and Terry (Kelly) Dunn of Bloomington, IL; twelve grandchildren, Geren (Meredith) Dunn, TJ (Carly) Demos, Payton (Rachel) Demos, Aubrey (Dustin) Morrow, Mickey (Anna Beth) Demos, Aidan Moss, Marley Dunn, Ryan Demos, Nora Moss, Owen Moss, Emma Dunn, and Adam Dunn; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Maura (Jim) Daniell, Chris (Lynn) Stewart, Margaret (Dick) Cloyd; brother, John (Angie) Farrell; sisters-in-law, Marilyn and Jeanette Farrell; and many nieces and nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Dunn, who passed away just two weeks prior, as well as her parents, Joseph and Lenore Farrell and brothers, Michael, James, Brian and Rush Farrell.

A service for Lenore and Tom will be held at Spry Funeral Home in Huntsville, AL at a later date to be announced.
