Graveside service for Jerry Edward Danner, age 81, of Moulton, will be 11:45 a.m. on Friday, October 2, 2026, at Alabama National Cemetery, Montevallo, with Parkway Funeral Home directing. Jerry, who died Sunday, September 27, 2026, at his residence, was born July 16, 1945, in Florida to Henry Edsel Danner and Arlena Powell Danner. He was preceded in death by his parents. Jerry was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps who served in Vietnam. He had a love for restoring old cars, and thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors, especially working around his farm. Saturdays were for watching college football. In his younger years, he had a love for baseball/softball, and played in the minor leagues. He was also an avid bowler and had the opportunity to appear on TV during a tournament.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Lynn Danner; son, Jerry Scott Danner (Sonya); daughter, Sandra Diane McNeely (Eric); four brothers, William Danner (Debbie), Richard Danner (Linda), Kenneth Danner (Carol), and Mike Danner; four sisters, Peggy Lynch (David), Debbie Cook (Paul); Karen Thompson (Steve), and Nancy McDaniel (Kelly); and four grandchildren, Brian Needham (Shawna), Katie Modlin, Brandon Danner, and Mariah Danner.
