Tony Lawson age 65 of Dowelltown, passed away on Saturday morning, September 26, 2026, at his residence. He was born August 24, 1961, in McMinnville, to his parents, Toy and Faye Johnson Lawson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Sue Lawson. He drove a truck, worked at Moog and for the last several years, he took care of the car wash in Smithville. His favorite part of the day was going and joining his friends at the “Liars Table.” He is survived by his parents, Toy and Faye Lawson of Liberty; stepdaughter, Teresa (Brad) Murphy of Sparta; brother, Gary Lane Lawson of Liberty; three sisters, Wanda Duggin of Dibrell, Patsy Whitaker of Smithville and Rachel (Phillip) Bandy of Dowelltown; 5 step-grandchildren and 7 step great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 PM Thursday, October 1, 2026, at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Zach Murphy officiating and burial will follow in Keith Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday 4 PM until 7 PM and Thursday 10 AM until the time of the service at 1 PM. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is honored to care for the Lawson Family.
