Mike McConville, 64, passed away Wednesday morning at his home in Reagan. Mike was born in Waukesha, Wisconsin, on June 12, 1962, to John and Patricia Bomeir McConville. He was a Navy veteran and a former Henderson County employee, having retired from the Solid Waste Department. Mike was an avid crappie fisherman and deer hunter. He also enjoyed NASCAR, football, and baseball, and had coached his sons’ youth baseball teams. He especially enjoyed and loved his grandkids.
Mike is survived by his wife Suzy Smith McConville; his parents, John and Pat McConville; two sons: Michael McConville (Erika), and Matt McConville (Sophie); two brothers: Jon McConville (Carrie), and Mark McConville (Isabell); two sisters: Dawn Gill (Dan), and Colleen Nicanor (Francisco); three grandchildren: Freya, Ciaran, Maeve.
Visitation with the family will be at Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM, with a memorial service at 10:00 in the Chapel. Burial will follow in the Smith Family Cemetery on Boldan Road in Reagan.
