Andrew Joe Tennison, age 73, passed away on September 19th, 2026. He was born on December 30th, 1952, to Archie Gordon Tennison Sr. and Elfreda Boyd Tennison.
Joe was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He cherished spending time with his family and especially loved making memories with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. One of his favorite things was taking Jonathan to get the eggs, a simple tradition that created precious memories they will always treasure. Joe will be greatly and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his son, Joe E. Tennison; daughter, Crystal Tennison (David); sisters, Shirley Blankenship and Mary McLemore; grandsons, Harley Daniels, Thomas Daniels Jr., and Joshua Brown (Hannah); granddaughter, Haley Harris (Johnny); and great-grandchildren, Jonathan Harris, Jessabelle Harris, Caleb Brown, and Noah Brown.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Archie Gordon Tennison Sr. and Elfreda Boyd Tennison; his beloved wife, Brenda Tennison; brothers, Archie Tennison Jr. and Kenneth Tennison; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 25th, 2026, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Myers Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 24th, 2026, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Brown, Thomas Daniels Jr., Marty Blankenship, Derek Tennison, Jeremy Harris, and Bobby Pylant. Honorary pallbearers will be David Varnum and Jesse McLemore.
Joe leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a family who loved him deeply. His love, kindness, and devotion to his family will remain in their hearts forever.
