A Funeral Service for Mrs. Fran Farmer, age 78 of Ashland, will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville. Burial will follow at Ashland City Cemetery.
Fran passed away on Monday after a brief illness. She was born in Clay County and spent most of her life here in the area. Fran loved life and enjoyed every opportunity she could. She was always supportive of her family and enjoyed taking care of the house and her husband, Daniel.
Mrs. Farmer is survived by her husband, Daniel Farmer; one son, David Puckett; two sisters: Vivian Rogers husband Jackie and Sue Harris; four brothers: Frankie Finch, Billy Finch, Dwayne Finch and Gary Finch; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Hugh and Lavada Finch and a nephew, Hugh Howard Clifton.
Pall bearers will be Jackie Rogers, Sonny Rogers, Colton Clifton and Michael Clifton.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 until 11:00 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville.
