Edith Mae Bowen, 85, of Ardmore, Alabama passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026, in Ardmore, Alabama.
She was born on Friday, July 11, 1941, in Ardmore, Tennessee to Harrison Pack and Pearly Russell Pack.
Edith lived most of her life in Lewisburg, Tennessee. She spent her entire life filling the world with kindness. She was a remarkably loving person who never met a stranger. Know for her boundless generosity, she would truly help anyone in need, always putting the comfort and happiness of others ahead of her own.
Her greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and sister, but her favorite title by far was “Grandma”. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the absolute light of her life. She treasured every moment spent with them.
Edith is preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years; Lyndal Wayne Bowen, two sons, one daughter, both of her parents, two brothers.
She is survived by one son; Toney Martin Smith, Five grandchildren: Kristi (Brandon) Gentry, Brittany (JD) Sloan, Ryan (Kayla) Graviet, Jessica Key, Ashley Graviet, twelve great grandchildren, one great-great grandson, as well as one brother; Marce Pack.
A Visitation will be held at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM. A Graveside Service will be held at Gatlin Cemetery located in Ardmore, Alabama beginning at 11:00 AM on.
Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home will be assisting the family with services.
