Ms. Sharon Ann Hipps Henderson, 72, of the West Point community of Somerville, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at Huntsville Hospital. Born in Mobile, Alabama, on October 11, 1953, Sharon was the daughter of James Robert Hipps and Wanda Lee Goodson Hipps. She was married to Aubrey Gene Henderson, who passed away on January 27, 2024.
Sharon worked in retail sales and enjoyed cooking and arts and crafts. Above all, she treasured and received her greatest joy and fulfillment from spending time with her grandchildren.
Sharon leaves behind her sons, Chris Henderson and Daniel Henderson (Alice), and her grandchildren, Aubrey Colin Henderson and Aiden David Henderson, all who will cherish their memories of Sharon.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, James and Wanda Hipps and her husband, Aubrey Henderson.
Services for Sharon will be held Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Brindlee Mountain Chapel in Morgan City, Alabama. Visitation for family, friends, and guests will be from 12:00 noon until 1:45 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Brother David Mangum will be officiating. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
