Herman Clevy McIntire was born on November 24, 1939 in Scottsboro, Alabama to the late Willis and Dolly McIntire. He passed away peacefully at his home on September 15, 2026 surrounded by his close family.
Herman is survived by his sons, Keith (Cynthia) McIntire, and Terry (Jennifer) McIntire; grandchildren, Timothy (Nikki) McIntire, Keri (Nathan) Jordan, T.J. (Patricia) McIntire, Dylan (Brittany) McIntire, Johnathon (Heather) McIntire, and Allen McIntire; great grandchildren, Easton Jordan, Maddilynn Jordan, Bella McIntire, Jackson McIntire, Crimson McIntire, Xander McIntire, Addie McIntire, Alice McIntire, and soon to be born Amie Jordan.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Amie O. McIntire; son, Phillip McIntire; parents, Willis and Dolly McIntire; brothers, Lester Littles, and Robert Littles; sisters, Annie McIntire, Ola Mae Maynor, and Lorene Ledford.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 17, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted at noon on Friday, September 18, 2026 with Rev. Ray Davis officiating. The body will Lie-in-State from 10:00 a.m. until noon.
Burial will be in the Hytop Cemetery.
