Don Lee WilsonWith deep sadness, we announce the passing of Don Lee Wilson, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Don died peacefully at home on Monday morning, September 14, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was 85. Born to John Lee Wilson and Elizabeth Artis Wilson on February 26, 1941, in Parches Cove, Alabama, Don lived his entire life in Parches Cove and the Union Grove community. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Union Grove First Baptist Church. He and his wife, Bobbie Stone Wilson, shared many wonderful years together.

Don served in the U.S. Army and continued his service for more than 23 years in the Alabama National Guard. He also worked at Dunlap Tires for over 31 years before retiring. Above all, Don was a devoted family man who always put his loved ones first. He treasured time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His favorite pastimes included fishing, hunting, playing with his grandchildren, driving his John Deere Tractor and watching Alabama football.

Don leaves behind his wife, Bobbie Wilson; his sons, Keith Wilson (Cathy) and Ty Wilson (Robin); eight grandchildren; his brother, Joe Wilson (Karen); and his sister, Pam Hayes (JR), who will cherish his memory.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, John and Elizabeth Wilson; his son, Craig Alan Wilson; and his sister, Grace Reed.

Services for Don will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Union Grove First Baptist Church in Union Grove, Alabama. Visitation will begin at noon, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Brother Greg Narrell will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jordan Wilson, Ben Wilson, Jacob Wilson, Mark Barnett, Josh Barnett, and Allen Murphy. Liam Dunlap and Keith Smith will serve as honorary pallbearers. Burial with full military honors will follow at Mt. View Cemetery. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
