Ms. Peggy Louise Thomas, age 88, of Pikeville passed away peacefully on September 14, 2026, at Pikeville Nursing Home surrounded by family. She was born on July 16, 1938, in Westel, TN, to Willard Bledsoe and Kate Brogdon Bledsoe, both of whom preceded her in death. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Thomas; son, William “Tinker” Thomas; brothers, Kenneth, Bill, and Harry
Bledsoe; and sister, Delois Young.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Kerry Thomas and Dennis (Amanda) Thomas; grandchildren, Michael (Jayme) Thomas and Jennifer (Nick) Thomas; great grandchildren, Clark Thomas, Oliver Thomas, Zelda Thomas, and Joslyn Thomas; brother Jim (Pat) Bledsoe; and a special thanks for their loving care of Peggy from the family to Evelyn Thomas, Sheryl Moore, Dawn Kirby, and Baylee Young.
There will be a private burial at Howard Walker Cemetery, with a celebration of life planned in the near future.
