Sherron Elizabeth “Sherry” Knowles age 74 of Knoxville passed away Monday, September 14, 2026, at her residence. She was born November 14, 1951, in Memphis to her parents, the late William Winfred Knowles and Reba Jo “Becky” Knowles, Jr. MD. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, William Winfred and Emma Paris Knowles, Sr. and John Miller and Edna Shepherd Claiborne; sister, Melody Lynn Knowles and nephew, William Wayne Graham. Sherry was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #69 and a Methodist. She graduated Brenau Academy High School in Gainesville, GA; Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro with a BS in Elementary Education and Samford University in Birmingham, AL with a BS in Pharmacy. She was a pharmacist for many years with Eckerd, Revco/CVS and Kroger. She is survived by two sisters, Jennifer S. Knowles, MD of Redlands, CA and Candy (Bob) Gregory of Smithville; nieces, Josie Zimmer, Layla A (Taylor) Zimmer and Natalie J. (Tyler) Fulton along with several great nieces and nephews. The family will have a private graveside service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Whorton Springs Cemetery, in memory of Sherry.
