A Memorial Visitation service for Jerry A. “Diamond Head” Stephenson, 66, will be Monday, September 14, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home. No other services are scheduled.
Mr. Stephenson died on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at his residence. He was born May 17, 1960, in Morgan County to Prentiss Oswald and Opal Lucille Harris Stephenson.
Jerry was a very kind, loving, and wonderful man, that would help anyone. He was a man that would always go the extra mile. He was self employed as a Handyman and Electrician, prior to his passing. He was a great Bass guitar player and was a member of several bands. He loved to get together with his friends and play music. Jerry loved to have fun and had a great sense of humor.
Preceding him in death were his parents, and his brothers- Stanton Stephenson, Sherman Stephenson, and Rayford Stephenson.
In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial donations be made to American Cancer Society.
Survivors include
Wife – Jimmie Thompson Stephenson,
Brother – Preston Stephenson (Lisa),
Sister – Barbara Stephenson,
Sister-in-law – Dorothy Stephenson,
Other friends that were like brothers- David Ricks, John Long, Norman Collins, and Eddie Miller.
and several nieces and nephews.
