Frances Dollar Blake, 79, of Athens, Alabama passed away on Monday, September 7, 2026, in Athens, Alabama.
She was born on Saturday, July 26, 1947, to Emmett Thomas Davis and Lillan Louise Elenburg Davis in New Hope, Alabama.
Frances lived all her life in Northern Alabama. She was member of Holt Road Baptist Church located in Athens, Alabama.
She spent her life Sewing, reading her bible, watching hummingbirds, cooking, visiting with church friends, and loving on all her grandbabies as well as spending time with her family.
Frances is preceded in death by both her parents, two brothers: Buford Davis, Neil Davis, one sister; Helen Graves, two granddaughters; LeeAnn Die, April Landger as well as two great grandchildren.
She is survived by one son; David Thomas (Deborah) Dollar, three daughters: Michelle (Jimmy) Mills, Debbie Dollar, Rachel (Everett) Potts, three sisters: Stella (Chris) Christianson, Judy Appleton, Marcy (Terry) McEntire, six grandchildren: Brett Dollar, Spencer Dollar, Brandon Adams, Melissa Chadwick, Jaimee McCluskey, Austin Mills, twenty-one great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, one step-son; Jeff (Arlene) Blake.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM located at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, located in Ardmore, Alabama, A Chapel Service will be held at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home with service beginning at 12:00 PM (NOON). Bro. Doug Colwell will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Gatlin Cemetery located in Ardmore, Alabama.
Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home will be assisting the family with services.
