Stephen “Jody” McLendon, 64, of Florence, passed away September 6, 2026. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 10 at Williams Funeral Home from 5:30 – 7:30 pm. The funeral will be Friday, September 11 at 11:00 am in the chapel with Ron Jones officiating and burial immediately following in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Judy McLendon; sisters, Cathy Markovitz and Temple Russ; and brother, Marc McLendon.
Mr. McLendon is survived by his daughter, Shanna McLendon; son, Eric McLendon; sister, Terry McLendon; grandchildren, Rylee Downs, Payton Downs, and Alexys Downs.
Mr. McLendon was the owner of Jody’s Optical. He was an Alabama football lover, guitar player, arrowhead hunter/collector, and woodworker.
