Melissa Jayne Allen, 60, of Killen, passed away September 6, 2026, at North Alabama Medical Center. Melissa was a graduate of Rogers High School and received her degree in Social Work at The University of North Alabama. She worked with abused women at SafePlace, in Florence, was of the Baptist faith, and loved reading, cross stitching, painting and drawing. Survivors include: Brother: Johnnie Allen, Jr. (Carolyn) Sisters: Gail Allen Smith & Sandra Allen She was also a loving and devoted Aunt to several nieces & nephews Preceded in death by: Parents: Johnnie Allen & Norma Jeanette Allen Brother-in-law: Jamie Smith There will be a graveside service Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 1:00pm, at Allen Cemetery, with Bro. Gregg Woodard officiating. Burial will follow at Allen Cemetery. Family will serve as pallbearers.
