Grace Anne Hanford, age 82, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away on
Friday, September 4, 2026, at DiversiCare in Winfield. She was born in
Chillicothe, Ohio on September 11,1943, to Harry and Mary Proehl.
The visitation will be 6:00 pm -8:00 p.m. Sunday, September 6, 2026, at
Nichols Marion County Funeral Home. The service will be at 2:00 p.m.,
Monday, September 7, 2026 at Nichols Marion County Funeral Home with
Bro. Ryan Gallagher officiating and burial in Fulton Bridge Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Bobby Sam Frye and John
R. Hanford; father, Harry O. Proehl; mother, Mary Proehl: daughter, Bobbie
Anne Riley; sisters, Norma Proehl, Carolyn George, Susan L. Curtis;
brothers, Terry Lee Proehl, Jeffery Proehl, Michael C. Proehl. She is
survived by her Children, William (Rebecca) Frye, Leland Hanford, John
(Cherry) Hanford; Siblings, Frank (Sandy) Proehl, Morris (Tena) Proehl,
Paula Ritchhart, Rose Proehl, Ann (David) Thompson and a host of other
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces,
nephews, family and friends.
Nichols Marion County Funeral Home will assist the family.
