Brenda Burks Williams, age 76, of Boaz, Alabama died on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at Marshall Medical Center South.
A funeral service will be held at Eleven o’clock am on Saturday, September 5, 2026, in the McRae Chapel with Bro. Danny Hood & Bro. Barry Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday, September 5, 2026,10:00am until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Williams was born in Alabama on May 8, 1950, to William Edward & Thelma Stocks Burks. She was a loving Wife, Sister, Mother and Grandmother. Brenda loved life and she loved people. She was a ray of sunshine to many people whose lives she touched. She loved talking about how God had blessed her throughout her life. She never let many years of illness affect the way she shared her blessings with others. When her sisters were with her, she never failed to say, “don’t leave without praying”. She had tremendous courage and strength. She was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her: Sons & Daughter-in-Law: Michael & Brandi Williams, Tony Williams all of Boaz. Grandchildren: Crystal & Brandon Groover, A.J. Williams, Whitt Moody, Raylee & Canyon Wilson. Great Grandchildren: Raylee Grover, Hunter Groover. Sisters & Brothers-in-Law: Debrah & Sonny Miller, Penny & Glenn Pondick, all of Southside. Brother & Sister-in-Law: Johnny & Mickey Burks of Rainsville. A host of Nieces & Nephews.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her Parents: Edward & Thelma Burks. Husband: Kenneth Williams. Brother: Dale Burks. Granddaughter: Cherokee Williams.
Pallbearers will be Carl Battles, Joey Morrow, Brian Hollingsworth, Seth Miller, Alex Pondick, A.J. Williams
Thank you to her special friends: Alice Beck, Pat Cook & Carla Malone, who were so kind and caring to Brenda. She loved the time they spent talking to her. Special thanks to Dr. M. Kelleher, Dr. K. Keri, Dr. R. Go, Dr. J. story and the staff at the Cancer Care Center in Guntersville for the compassionate care they gave her. Special thank you to Dr. Caleb Mason & Dr. Duncan Scott for the attentiveness and compassion they shared with Brenda and her family at Marshall Medical Center South.
