A Celebration of Life for Bryan will be held Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home, 300 1st Ave NW, Winchester, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials in Bryan’s honor be made to a local animal shelter of your choice. Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.

Born February 12, 1964, in Murfreesboro, Bryan was the son of Mary Jane Youree Santi and the late James Raymond McElroy. He attended Webb High School, where he was a standout basketball player, and later attended Middle Tennessee State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree.

Bryan had a lifelong love of animals, especially his cats and dogs. He was also an avid sports fan, with a particular passion for college sports. He was a devoted University of Tennessee fan and a loyal Atlanta Braves fan.

In addition to his mother, Jane, Bryan is survived by his wife, Joan Bradford McElroy; sister, Emi (David) Tharp; stepson, Alex West; and his beloved cat, Kittie Pickle.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Frank McElroy; and stepson, Corey Marshall.
