MONTGOMERY – Governor Kay Ivey on Thursday, alongside college students and mascots representing Alabama’s 14 public universities and institutions, will proclaim September 4, 2026, as College Colors Day in the state of Alabama. The governor will deliver remarks and present the College Colors Day proclamation.
College Colors Day promotes higher education in Alabama by recognizing the state’s 14 public universities and the opportunities each brings in educating, serving and bettering the lives of Alabama citizens. Faculty, staff, students, alumni and fans are encouraged to wear apparel for their favorite university throughout the day of September 4.
The event is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. Central Daylight Time.
