A Graveside Funeral service and Interment for Betty Sue Sapp Jones, 76, will be Thursday, August 27, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Burningtree Memorial Gardens with Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Thursday, August 27, 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jones passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at his residence. She was born October 2, 1949, in Lawrence County, to William Hubert Sapp and Jessie Sue Raper Sapp.
She was employed by Penn Hamburgers as the Manager, prior to her retirement. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Preceding her in death were her husband- Jimmy “Shorty” Jones, and her parents.
Survivors include
Son – Jimmy Chad Jones,
Sister – Shirley Ann Greene,
Grandchildren – Zack Jones and Tyler Jones,
Great Grandchildren – Levi Suggs, Lily Grace Jones,
Davin McNeal, and Bodie Jones
Pallbearers will be Zackery Jones, Jeff Millwood, Rod Millwood, Dakota Millwood, Kalub Hammond and Greg Millwood.
