Barbara Wahl, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2026, with her loving family by her side.
Barbara was born on March 2, 1943, to the late Richard and Jessie Stovall. She was a woman whose greatest joy in life came from the love she shared with her family. Her family was truly her greatest treasure, and spending time with them was her most prized possession.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings; and her beloved son, Tim Stoffregen.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her devoted husband of 33 years, Steven; her daughter, Laura (Jeff) Hamilton; and her son, Daniel Stoffregen. She will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Jessica (Shawn) Baldwin, Katie (Matthew) Cole, Michael (Darlene) Sheridan, Kelli (Craig) Rowley, and Jacob (Hadley) Hamilton; as well as her great-grandchildren, Olivia, Makaylee, Nickulai, Brynlee, Harper, Logan, Amelia, and Isaiah.
Barbara had a special love for her grandchildren and cherished every moment she was able to spend with them. She found joy in the simple and beautiful things in life—flowers, her beloved Katie rose bush, shopping, and watching hummingbirds. These little things brought a smile to her face, but it was being surrounded by the people she loved that brought her the greatest happiness.
Barbara’s love, kindness, and devotion to her family will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on through the family she loved so dearly and the countless moments of love and joy she gave them.
Graveside services will be held at 5:00 PM on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
Adams Brown Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Tim Chapman and Matthew Cole will officiate the service.
Barbara’s family takes comfort in knowing that her greatest gift—her love for her family—will continue through the generations she leaves behind.
Barbara Wahl
