Sammy Leonard Brock, age 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 22, 2026, after an extended illness. Born August 20, 1938, he recently celebrated his birthday surrounded by his beloved family.
Sammy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He retired from the textile industry and enjoyed farming and spending time with his loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, W.R. and Maggie Brock, and his wives, Helen Mooneyham Brock and Willene Roberts Brock.
He is survived by his children, Mason (Donna) Brock, Sandra (David) Brown, and Bobby (Penny) Brock; five grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In accordance with his wishes, a graveside service will be held Monday, August 24, 2026, at 2:00pm in Cummingsville Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest.
Sammy will be deeply missed, and his memory will live on through the family he cherished and the many lives he touched.
