Rodney Wayne Elliff, 59, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2026, in Itawamba County as the result of a side by side accident. He was born September 24, 1966, in Baldwyn, to Bobby Joe and Patricia Ann Stedham Elliff. He was a member of the Ozark Baptist Church. He worked at Stone Containers for 28 ½ years and was currently working at MDOT. He enjoyed playing dominoes, riding his side by side, showing his grandchildren how to drive four-wheelers, and giving everyone nicknames. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 26, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Dempsey Rowland officiating. Burial will be in the Stephens Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Jones Elliff; his mother, Patricia “Patsy” Elliff; four sons, Brent Elliff, Zachary Elliff (Brittany), Tanner Elliff (Gracie), and Brady Elliff; two daughters, Brittany Trulove (Casey) and Ashley Elliff, all of Mantachie; one brother, Eddie Elliff of Mantachie; two sisters, Pattie Hall of Mantachie and Amanda Carr (Brian) of Saltillo; nine grandchildren, Dalton Trulove (KB), Ava Trulove (Blake), Ella Trulove, Hudson Trulove, Channing Elliff, Ramsie Kate Elliff, Chip Elliff, River Elliff, and Rowan Elliff; four great-grandchildren, Lyla Trulove, Everlee Trulove, Sawyer Trulove, and Millie Trulove; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and other extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his father; two brothers-in-law, Stevie Jones and Mike “Poss” Jones; his mother and father-in-law, Jimmy and Wanda Dell Jones; his grandparents, Luther and Thelma Stedham and Edgar and Alice Elliff.
Pallbearers will be Tim Daniels, Buddy Barnes, James Waddle, Little Mac Grimes, Jeff Pace, Josh Jones, and Jaybird Dill.
Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Miller, Jamie Dunaway, Ben Bennett, Jacob Glisson, Phillip “Cato” Phillips, Matthew Prestage, and the MDOT crew.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 -8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from noon until service time at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.
