Mary Sue Burgess, 76, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born January 1, 1950, in Arkansas, to Fred Sproue and Robby Virginia Lewis Sproue.
She was employed by Darling’s Store Fixtures, prior to her retirement. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Going to church, reading her Bible, shopping yard sales, fishing, and drinking her coffee on her front porch were just a few of the things that she enjoyed doing. She was always there for her family and was the greatest mother on earth. She will be missed.
Preceding her in death were her parents, a son- William Isbell, and a sister- Peggy Rushings.

Judy Denise,

Her family will hold a memorial service at Crossroads Fellowship, 4743 Old Moulton Road, Decatur, AL 35601, on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at 2:00 PM.
