Ralph Dennis Orr, age 70, resident of Columbia, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at his home.
Dennis was born March 8, 1956, in Columbia, Tennessee, and was the son of the late Josephine Simmons Orr and the late William P. Orr. He grew up in Columbia and served as a deputy with the Maury County Sheriff’s Department, later as Assistant Director of the Vice and Narcotics Unit. He was a fan of movies, sports cars, and his late mother’s home cooking.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill Orr and Doug Orr.
He is survived by his son, Dillon Orr, and his brothers, Steve Orr and Ronnie Orr.
Dennis will be deeply missed by his family and friends, who will celebrate him Saturday, August 22, at 9:00 AM at Polk Memorial Gardens, at his mother’s gravesite.
