Darlene McGhee, age 87, passed away peacefully on August 11th, 2026. She was born on July 28th, 1939, to William Hughes and Grace Bowman.
Darlene will be lovingly remembered by her son, Hank Breuer (Jan); Honorary daughter, Jewel Ann Mills (Sidney); grandsons, Joe and Danny Breuer and Brian Jacobson; granddaughters, Kayla Ashford; great-granddaughters, Jordan Ashford, Briana Jacobson, and Paige Connell; Honorary granddaughter, Lindsey Mills Brown (Cameron); great-granddaughters, Laci Connell, and Naomi Connell; great-grandson, Jaxton Peterson; Honorary great-grandson, Anders Brown; and sisters, Constance “Connie” Hilgart (Bernie). She is also survived by her nephew, Dennis Wright (Debbie).
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry McGhee; her daughter, Donna Weast (Hughes); her siblings, Betty Talach, Byron McCallister, Theodore McCallister, Charles McCallister, Robert Hughes, Tena Luke, Joyce Kelly, Georgia Salisbury, Irene Wright, Ione Tihlarik, Shirley Van Dyke, Jackie “Rita” Reinhardt, Marlene Moruzzi, Gerri Dennis, Sylvia Schufletowski, Kay Knutson, Rena Hughes, and Pat McCallister.
Darlene’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and all who knew and loved her. Her love, kindness, and presence will be deeply missed and lovingly cherished by those she leaves behind.
