Mrs. Betty Ruth McAllister, age 89 of Scottsboro, Alabama passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at DeKalb Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, August 15, 2026 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Bro. Barry Birdsong and Bro. Charles Cornelison officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Scottsboro Funeral Home on Friday, August 14, 2026 from 5-8 p.m.
Mrs. McAllister is survived by her sister, Annette Birdsong; grandchildren, Jennifer Gregory and Anthony McAllister; several great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Winston McAllister; son, Jimmy Dale McAllister; parents, Horace & Vicie Williams; and siblings, Erskine Williams, Wayne Williams, and Elizabeth Turner.
