Karen Denise Koger Smith, age 51 of Valley Head, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. She was born on September 4, 1974 in Fort Payne to David & Joan Davis Koger. She was a member of Valley Head Baptist Church and was a loving wife, mother, and grammy.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, August 15, 2026 at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Whitney Smith, Rev. Chad Smith and Rev. Darrell Haney officiating. Burial will follow in the Head Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Saturday from 12 noon until the 2 p.m. hour of service.
She is survived by her husband, Stacy Smith; children, Kayla (Casey) Hellums, Julie Smith and Brant Smith; parents, David & Joan Koger; sister & brother-in-law, Christy & Nick Cordell; grandchildren, Sawyer, Lillian and Bennett Hellums; and multiple nephews, nieces and cousins.
