Tracy James Cloud, age 72, passed away August 12, 2026, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born April 30, 1954, in Jackson, TN, the son of the late James Edward and Von Bara Cherry Cloud. He grew up in Henderson and was a 1972 graduate of Chester County High School. He later attended Jackson State Community College and earned an Associate of Arts Degree in Data Processing.
He married Cindy Hunt on August 3, 1974, and they made their home in Henderson.
He did construction work for his dad and also for Henry Cupples for many years. He then worked for Proctor & Gamble in Jackson for thirty-one years, retiring in 2013.
He loved all sports and played football in high school. He coached his daughter and granddaughter in softball. He was a Cubs Baseball and TN Vols Fan.
He enjoyed working in the yard and boating on Pine Lake in Lexington. He loved animals and kept many pets over the years.
He attended Trinity United Methodist Church.
Above all he loved his family and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law and uncle.
Mr. Cloud is survived by his wife, Cindy Hunt Cloud of Henderson; a daughter, Shannon Cloud Reed (Wade) of Lexington; a granddaughter, Madison Reed Williams (Jake) of Lexington; a sister, Judy Berryhill of Jackson, brother-in-laws, Mike Hunt and Jeff Hunt (Leslie), and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, August 16th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Jimmy Dyer officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue, 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM service time on Sunday.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
