Cherilyn Rose Daniels Steadman, born on July 18, 1945, in Pontotoc, Mississippi, passed away on August 7, 2026, at Sunshine Healthcare in Pontotoc. A graduate of Pontotoc High School, Cherilyn was a cheerleader during her school years.
She was a devoted mother to three children, Tynna Cheryll Tutor Yarbrough, Ronald Filer Yarbrough, and James Daniels Yarbrough, and cherished her role as a stepmother to Tara Yarbrough Woodward and Ginny Yarbrough Deliman. Cherilyn was a proud grandmother to Amber Cox Jamison, Ryan Lesly Yarbrough, and Lacey Louise Yarbrough Franklin, and a loving great-grandmother to Reese Jamison, Jack Jamison, and Jett Jamison.
She is survived by her sisters, Merrillyn Jean Alexander and Rosanne Daniels Roberts, her son Jamie Yarbrough, her stepdaughters, and her extended family of nephews, nieces, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Cherilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Ferrell Dean Conlee Daniels and Theron Burr Daniels, her daughter Tynna, and her son Ron.
Cherilyn enjoyed cooking, gardening, and homemaking, and she will be fondly remembered by her friends and family. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Pontotoc City Cemetery at 10:30AM with visitation beginning at 10AM.
